Resilience resources of individuals in times of digital disruption: Digital security awareness and technological readiness

INDOR lecture series: AI and Me
Prof. Bernhard Leipold's Lecture us to use these important resources to gain a psychological understanding of individual differences in technological adaptability.

Digital disruption confronts individuals with rapid change in technological systems, in which existing knowledge and routines quickly lose their validity. This makes psychological resources that enable flexible adaptation to new digital requirements all the more important.

Prof. Bernhard Lecture highlights digital security awareness and technological readiness as key resilience resources in the digital transformation. Empirical analyses are used to examine the extent to which motivational constructs (e.g., openness to new experiences and flexibility in goal adjustment) and age predict these resources. The aim is to highlight individual differences in resilience resources and thus promote a psychologically sound understanding of technological adaptability.
