A three-day training course in science communication
Do you find it a challenge to explain your research topics to friends and parents? The training is aimed at young scientists from the research field of quantum technologies or related disciplines and prepares you for the dialog with people without prior knowledge.

The course offers an introduction to the topic of science communication with a focus on quantum technologies, among other things, and combines theory and practice.

Program items will be:

  • Basics of science communication
  • Barrier-free science communication
  • Best practice examples of science communication
  • Stumbling blocks in science communication
  • Develop your own communication sequence with activity
  • Practical application in an open museum program

Mon. 28.04.2025: 14:00 - 17:00 + evening program science dinner
Tue. 29.04.2025: 09:00 - 17:00 + evening program
Wed. 30.04.2025: 09:00 - 15:00

As a second practical module, participants in this training program can also take part in the "Quantum School", an event developed by the Fraunhofer ISI Institute for Systems and Innovation Research for interested young people to co-creatively develop everyday stories from the future (Future Stories). This will take place in the week from May 12 to 15, 2025. (The exact days are still to be determined. Overnight accommodation is also available at the Kerschensteiner Kolleg).

In addition, the skills acquired can also be used on the 'Quantum Tuesdays' at the Deutsches Museum.

Overnight accommodation is available at the Kerschensteiner Kolleg (from € 56 per night).
