AHA at the Zamanand Festival 2026

AHA at the Zamanand Festival

Treat yourself to a quick trip to the AHA Super Science Summer Club—on June 20–21 at the Zamanand Festival near Odeonsplatz.

Spanning nearly 400 square meters, you can meet researchers from the many AHA institutions, learn about their work, chat with them—or just relax and enjoy our entertainment program.

Here's what you can expect at the AHA Super Science Summer Club

A diverse lineup of stage performances at the Entertainment Space

Scientists are as diverse as the topics they research. Come be entertained and inspired!
Here’s a sneak peek at the program so far (subject to change):

  • Researchers—including Prof. Dr. Harald Lesch—will offer insights into their work in short talks and discuss current topics, such as the social media ban for young people, from various perspectives.
  • How does energy conversion work? Learn more in the solar energy puppet show.
  • TUM Dances! and the TUM Fusian Dance Crew: Students present their latest choreographies.
  • Who’s best at entertaining the audience with their research topic? In Mini Science Slams, young scientists compete for the audience’s favor.

AHA Knowledge Islands

Five interactive stations invite you to play, participate, and be amazed:

  • Dahoam: Do you like being at home best anyway? Then here you can, for example, admire Baroque ceiling paintings through VR goggles, check out the Bavarian dialect app, or watch a demonstration of pedestrian traffic at the festival. You certainly won’t get bored here.
  • Health: How can delicious food help prevent colorectal cancer? When does stress become harmful, and why is sleep so important for us humans? You’ll learn all this and more at this knowledge hub. Engineering students will also show you the exoskeleton they developed themselves, which they hope will help improve mobility for paraplegic patients in the future.
  • Sustainability: Can you taste Munich’s water? How far did the (non-solar-powered) electric car that set a world record travel? How much do you know about photovoltaics and renewable energy? Find out—we encourage you to explore, guess, and play along!
  • Travel Fever: Are you the epitome of curiosity and always up for an exciting adventure? Then set off on a VR journey into the world of dinosaurs! Or let yourself be whisked away into the nanocosmos: Gain insights into the quantum world, extract DNA from blueberries… Your tour guides are ready and waiting.
  • Kids' Island: The name says it all. Build LEGO models, play foosball against the computer, do crafts, and play, play, play…!

Please note: our program for Zamanand is currently being finalized and is therefore still subject to change. The final program will be available here in the coming weeks.
