Contact the data protection officer (e-mail: datenschutz@badw.de).

Below we inform you about the type, scope and purpose of the collection and use of personal data. The current version of this information can be accessed at any time from our website.

Retrieval of web pages

When a page or sub-page of aha.bayern is accessed, the web server temporarily stores the following information:

  • IP address of the requesting computer
  • Date and time of access
  • Name, URL and transferred data volume of the retrieved file
  • Access status (requested file transferred, not found, etc.)
  • Identification data of the browser and operating system used (if transmitted by the requesting web browser)
  • Network page from which the access was made (if transmitted by the requesting web browser)

These entries are continuously and automatically analyzed in order to detect attacks on the web servers and react accordingly. In individual cases, i.e. in the event of reported malfunctions, errors and security incidents, a manual analysis is carried out. The legal basis arises from the obligation to ensure the IT security of a website in accordance with Section 13 (7) TMG and from the general obligation and state task of IT security in accordance with Art. 11 (1) sentence 1 BayEGovG.

Entries that are older than seven days are anonymized by shortening the IP address. The anonymized data is used to create access statistics. The software used for this is operated locally by the LRZ.

The IP addresses contained in the entries are not merged with other data sets, so that no conclusions can be drawn about individual persons.

Cookies

When you access this website, we store cookies (small files) on your device that are valid for the duration of your visit to the website ("session cookies"). We only use these during your visit to our website. Most browsers are set to accept the use of cookies. However, you can disable this function for the current session or permanently by changing your browser settings. At the end of your visit, your browser will automatically delete these cookies.

Borlabs Cookie

This website uses Borlabs Cookie, which sets a technically necessary cookie (borlabs-cookie) to store your cookie consent. Borlabs Cookie does not process any personal data.

The cookie "borlabs-cookie" stores the consent you gave when you entered the website. If you wish to revoke this consent, simply delete the cookie in your browser. When you re-enter/reload the website, you will be asked for your cookie consent again.

Integration of YouTube videos

Videos from the external video platform YouTube are embedded on our website. If you have not given your consent to the use of external media when you first visit our website, only deactivated images from the YouTube channel are embedded, which do not establish an automated connection with the YouTube servers. This means that the operator does not receive any data from the user when the website is accessed.

You can decide for yourself whether the YouTube videos should be activated. Only when you allow the videos to be played by clicking on "Permanent activation" do you give your consent for the necessary data (including the Internet address of the current page and the user's IP address) to be transmitted to the operator.

In order to save the setting requested by the user, we set a cookie that saves the parameters. When these cookies are set, however, we do not store any personal data; they only contain anonymized data for browser customization. The videos are then active and can be played by the user. If you would like to deactivate the automatic loading of YouTube videos again, you can uncheck the consent box under the data protection symbol. This will also update the cookie settings.

YouTube is a service provided by YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA, a subsidiary of Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountainview, California 94043, USA. Further information on the purpose and scope of data processing (including outside the European Union and outside the USA) and information on setting options to protect your privacy can be found in the privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de&gl=de. Google processes your personal data in the USA, among other places, and has therefore submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield.

Evaluation of thematic priorities

It is our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR to recognize topics that are of particular interest to visitors to our website in order to improve our information offering. We use Matomo as a tool on our servers for this purpose. The same categories of data are collected as in the section "Retrieval of web pages", whereby the IP address is anonymized before evaluation. We use Matomo in such a way that a visitor to our website can only be identified for a certain period of time, currently half an hour. Matomo carries out statistical analyses of which of our websites this user visits. On the basis of these evaluations, we can, for example, recognize which topics are accessed more frequently than others or which offers are accepted and how.

Matomo respects the settings of your browser, with which you can prohibit any kind of user tracking. Profiling other than this with Matomo does not take place. No data is transmitted to third parties.

As part of this procedure, the newsletter order, the sending of the confirmation email and the receipt of the registration confirmation are logged. This data serves as proof of your consent. Your consent is the legal basis for this data collection in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. When you use our newsletter, no data is collected that enables user tracking or other statistical evaluations.

The newsletter service Brevo is used to send the newsletter.

You have the option to revoke your consent to the storage of your data and its use for sending the newsletter at any time. We provide you with a link for revocation in every newsletter and on the website (unsubscribe form).
