AHA at the Festival of the Future
The new initiative by Munich’s scientific institutions, academies, and museums will be presented at the Deutsches Museum on July 5 and 6, inviting the public to engage in dialogue and participate.
Munich, July 1, 2025: AHA – The Science Communication Hub its debut at the Festival of the Future in Munich. On the AHA Stage in the Posthof courtyard of the Deutsches Museum, this new initiative by Munich’s scientific institutions, academies, and museums will offer a diverse program over the festival weekend on the topics of artificial intelligence and energy of the future—and provide the audience with real-world insights into the research activities of the participating institutions. The interactive AHA Quiz for all ages invites everyone to join in. Admission is free.

Interactive AHA Quiz for the Whole Family: Curiosity Turns into Knowledge
Can you power an espresso machine with your muscle strength? Where is AI used in medicine? Can AI make everyday family life easier? In the AHA Quiz for all ages, scientists from the institutions of AHA – The Science Communication Hub explore The Science Communication Hub from our everyday lives and provide fascinating answers based on their research. In doing so, they spark the curiosity of festival guests and pose questions to them. Using a voting tool, visitors participate in the quiz live—and experience “AHA” moments together. Curiosity leads to knowledge.
Numerous AHA partner institutions, such as Helmholtz Munich, TUM, Fraunhofer, and MPG, will be represented on the AHA stage. In addition, startups like familymind AI and Ontoworks will provide insights into specific applications of artificial intelligence that make everyday life easier—whether at home or in video production. BR host Andrea Lauterbach will guide the audience through the event.
At the AHA booth on the Uferstraße on Museum Island, festival guests can get a glimpse into exciting projects all day long (9 a.m. – 5 p.m.) and Munich University of Applied Sciences powering an espresso machine with their own muscle power on the Espresso Bike from the Munich University of Applied Sciences .
“As a member of the AHA Advisory Board, I’m happy to support AHA’s new educational programs—whether in schools or outside of them,” said Simone Fleischmann, president of the Bavarian Teachers’ Association. “The Deutsches Museum is an ideal place to experience knowledge firsthand and engage children and teens through a quiz as part of the AHA Stage.”

Festival of the Future
Since 2022, 1E9 has been organizing the Festival of the Future as a platform for knowledge sharing. This year’s theme is “Growing Up.” The festival features over 100 speakers and artists, interactive experiences, networking opportunities, a unique venue, and sunshine along the Isar.
