AHA at the Festival of the Future 2025
Premiere for AHA - The Science Communication Hub: The new initiative presented itself for the first time at the Festival of the Future at the Deutsches Museum on July 5 and 6, 2025. The stage program on the AHA stage in the Posthof offered an entertaining and informative mix of science topics on both afternoons of the family weekend - with a focus on artificial intelligence and future energy: Artificial intelligence and future energy. BR presenter Andrea Lauterbach hosted the program.
AHA quiz delights young audience
A, B, or C? - That was the most frequently asked question at the Deutsches Museum's Posthof during the festival weekend. It was aimed in particular at the young guests of the Festival of the Future 2025 and encouraged everyone to take part in the AHA quiz, the heart of the AHA stage program on the festival's family days.
Experts from the initiative's facilities as well as other institutions and start-ups presented their research topics in an interactive form at the AHA Quiz. Key aspects were communicated in a child-friendly way and presented as questions with three possible answers. The focus was on a wide range of topics - from the many possible applications of artificial intelligence and the associated legal and ethical issues to green hydrogen and nuclear fusion.
The quiz sessions were framed by short conversations between presenter Andrea Lauterbach (BR) and the experts. Those who paid attention were usually at an advantage in the quiz that followed. The children in the Posthof showed great interest and were surprisingly accurate with their answers. Andrea Lauterbach also managed to motivate them to take part in another round of the quiz with her engaging presentation. There were also great prizes up for grabs.
AHA was also represented at the street festival on the banks of the Isar at Museum Island. The AHA stand presented the new initiative to an equal number of local and international visitors and offered exciting hands-on activities. The crowd-puller on Saturday was the Espresso Bike from Munich University of Applied Sciences. The challenge here was: Can you use your muscle power to operate an espresso machine? A large number of prepared espressos gave a clear answer to this question: yes, you can! There were also many exciting projects to discover on Sunday: KI macht Schule had interactive, didactically prepared AI tools; Tenmin AI presented its AI-supported language learning app; at fortiss you could marvel at a Smart Solar Box and an AI-controlled rover model.
