Homo Digitalis – People and Society in the Digital Transformation

The digital transformation requires a fundamental reorganization of our society. Generative AI, autonomous AI agents, and quantum technologies open up opportunities for innovation, participation, and prosperity, but they also pose risks to democracy, fundamental rights, and social cohesion. Amid global shifts in power, Europe faces the challenge, now more than ever, of reconciling technological sovereignty with a values-based regulatory framework.

Through dialogue among academia, politics, business, the media, and civil society, we address the following questions, among others:

  • How do we shape digital sovereignty and governance that serves the public good?
  • What skills are needed for this in education and the workplace?
  • How is AI changing our legal culture?
  • How do we maintain a balance between innovation and democratic resilience?

Join us and our speakers in discussing specific options for digital transformation.
