The eat.READ.sleep. podcast show.

Katharina Mahrenholtz and Daniel Kaiser, the hosts of the NDR Kultur book podcast, engage in an entertaining conversation at the Deutsches Museum about books that deal with math, physics, biology, or chemistry.

The hosts of the NDR Kultur book podcast are once again facing their demons. Following successful shows at DESY in Hamburg and the Mathematikum in Gießen, Katharina Mahrenholtz and Daniel Kaiser are guests at the Deutsches Museum. There, they engage in an entertaining discussion about books that deal with math, physics, biology, or chemistry. Which novels help us better understand the natural sciences? How much Sheldon Cooper vibes can a podcast episode handle? Why do we actually need word problems? And above all: Where does the fascination many people have with extinct animals, quantum physics, theorems, and formulas come from? These are the questions we’ll be exploring—always drawing on favorite books, bestsellers, and classics. We can’t promise airtight chains of reasoning, but we can promise a lively show with loooads of thermal lift.
