Two Enlightenments: Jews, Poles, and Their Paths to Modernity

What were the interactions between the Polish and Jewish Enlightenment movements? What did this mean for both sides, and how did it change them? What were their similarities, influences, and attitudes toward one another?

The lecture by Professor Marcin Wodzinski (University of Wrocław) will explore the profound yet often overlooked connections between the Jewish and Polish Enlightenments, examining how they influenced each other in both positive and negative ways.

Registration is required. For more information, please visit the website of the Faculty of History and the Arts, Department of Jewish History and Culture.
