Exhibition: Reflection – Light, Mirrors, Transparency

The second jointly curated Exhibition four museums in the Pinakothek der Moderne is dedicated to the theme of reflection. The term reflection is understood both literally and symbolically, as an optical phenomenon, as a sign of careful consideration, or as a means of artistic expression.

While the firstExhibition focused onExhibition founding period of Die Neue Sammlung and the modernism of the 1920s and 1930s, the Exhibition covers a broader time span and extends to the present day. Objects from the fields of fine art, architecture, graphic art, and design are juxtaposed under the three guiding principles of light, mirror, and transparency.
