Nocturnal Worlds – Photo Exhibition

In the special exhibition, amateur astronomers are displaying fascinating astrophotographs from the categories “Night Landscapes,” “Solar System,” “Deep Sky,” and “Munich.”

“Fascinating,” as Mr. Spock of the Starship Enterprise used to say—that’s what they undoubtedly are: the stars, galaxies, nebulae, and all the other celestial bodies. For some people, they hold such a powerful fascination that they venture out to dark locations for hours on end during freezing cold nights to photograph these worlds. Just like the members of the German Museum Observatory’s observer group. The images they’ve captured with their cameras are now on display in a special exhibition in the foyer of the German Museum’s library.  On display are astrophotographs from the categories “Night Landscapes,” “Solar System,” “Deep Sky,” and “Munich.” The Exhibition complemented by astronomy-related materials from our library and a display case showcasing related technology.

Admission is free.
