Wonders of Science – “Astrophysics”

Wonders of Science: Under this heading, renowned Munich-based scientists will reflect on their respective disciplines during the summer semester.

They do so in the context of pulpit sermons at Protestant university services and ask: How do wonder, “marveling,” “admiration,” and “amazement” influence scholarship? How does it enable people to transcend themselves? To what horizons of discovery and interpretation does it lead?
A wide range of disciplines are involved, including astrophysics, biophysics, archaeogenetics, medicine, psychology, philosophy, and theology.
