V01CES//B0D1EZ
Munich Biennale – Festival for New Music Theater

What is the relationship between creative processes and craftsmanship, labor and machinery, exhaustion and revolution?
V01CES//B0D1EZ is a musical-theatrical collaboration between composer Piyawat Louilarpprasert—who was recently awarded the Ensemble Prize by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation—and Hans Werner Henze, the founder of the Munich Biennale, who would have celebrated his 100th birthday in 2026.
In a co-production with the Munich Biennale, V01CES//B0D1EZ explores contemporary issues surrounding political and physical labor, ritualized activities, and ongoing resistance in an era where the workplace is increasingly dominated by artificial intelligence, as reflected in an AI-based libretto for the new composition R3SIST4NC3 B0D1EZ.
A musical theater piece based on Hans Werner Henze’s *Voices* and Piyawat Louilarpprasert’s *R3SIST4NC3 B0D1EZ* (world premiere), with texts by Richard W. Thomas, Bertolt Brecht, Erich Fried, Hans Magnus Enzensberger, Ho Chi Minh, Victor Hernández Cruz, Walton Smith, and Piyawat Louilarpprasert (featuring AI).
