AHA Wirtshaus-Wissen with presenter Willi Weitzel
Sport - The superpower for body and mind

The second edition of AHA Wirtshaus-Wissen, hosted by Willi Weitzel ("Willi wills wissen"), will be "Pretty sporty!". Together with experts from the AHA network, he talks to the - mainly young - audience about what happens in the body during sport, where the energy comes from and how sport affects the mood. How many gummy bears does the body actually burn during sport? What does sport have to do with my homework? Sport in climate change: How does my body react when I play soccer in the heat? Does sport make you happy? Taking part, trying things out and asking questions are expressly encouraged.

Willi's guests will be: Prof. Dr. Karsten Köhler, TUM; PD Dr. med. habil. Katharina Lechner, Helmholtz Munich; Malte Satow, doctoral student at LMU and aspiring physician; Dr. phil. Julia Schoierer, LMU Klinikum; and Prof. Dr. Peter Falkai, Director at the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry and member of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities.

Recommended for children from 3rd grade.

AHA district walk
Neuperlach of the animals

More and more animals are moving to the city. Here they find favorable living conditions for themselves and their offspring - but they also have to assert themselves. What if we saw wild animals as city dwellers? The AHA district walk, designed and accompanied by UnDesignUnit, invites you on a participatory species trail through Neuperlach. Participants get to know the Munich district from a completely new perspective and are invited to ask questions and think further: Who else lives on the built-up areas and in between besides us humans? What needs do our animal "neighbors" have - and how can we take them into account? What strategies for sustainable urban design could be derived from this? Playfully staged design methods support a change of perspective and help to broaden our perception of urban space.

For families with children from 3rd grade, young people and all interested parties.
Participation free of charge. Registration required:

AHA dialog events for the Science Year 2025
"Well connected!?" and "Energy wanted!"

Together with the Munich-based animation studio kurzgesagt, AHA has produced four scientifically sound and entertaining short videos to mark the Science Year 2025 "Future Energy". The video series "kurzgesagt: Energie! - What will the energy supply of the future look like?" is freely available on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok and briefly and concisely explores various aspects of tomorrow's energy supply:

Two evening events in the auditorium of the Deutsches Museum Munich bring interested young people into a relaxed exchange with researchers from the AHA institutions. They are aimed in particular at an audience between the ages of 16 and 25. In order to reach as many people as possible, the events are streamed live. The project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR).

Free admission. Registration possible shortly.

Dates: November 24 and December 3, 2025, both at 7 p.m.
Location: Auditorium of the Deutsches Museum Munich, Museumsinsel 1, 80538 Munich - and via live stream
