New carnivorous dinosaur from Ellingen

A large predatory dinosaur returns to its homeland. The Jura-Museum the new Pocket Exhibition by the Bavarian State Collections of Natural History (SNSB) featuring a fossil that lay unrecognized for nearly 50 years in the Bavarian State Collection of Geology and Paleontology in Munich.

Here, visitors learn about the wide range of research being conducted on this unique fossil. Interactive stations allow them to examine bone fragments and gain insights into the dinosaur’s habitat. The exhibition demonstrates how fossils are analyzed and studied.
