Quantum Computing: From Hardware to Software to Industrial Applications
MQV Insights
How is quantum computing evolving from an experimental technology into a tool for industry, logistics, and communications? Visit the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS on June 17 and learn firsthand how researchers are paving the way for the use of quantum computers and quantum algorithms in industrial settings.

At the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS, research is conducted across the entire quantum computing value chain—from the development of scalable quantum hardware and control electronics, through quantum algorithms and software for quantum computers, to concrete industrial applications. In Lecture , you Lecture insights into current research projects that are paving the way for the use of quantum computers and algorithms in industrial settings. These include new approaches for reconstructing tomographic volume images in X-ray technology, hybrid quantum-classical optimization methods for logistics, production, and infrastructure, as well as methods for translating abstract quantum algorithms into the actual Language quantum hardware as efficiently as possible. In addition, technologies will be presented that enable the scaling of quantum computers, such as highly integrated control and readout electronics, shielding and control systems for quantum systems, and real-time control of optical components.
During the Guided tour that follows, you Guided tour the antenna measurement hall, the cryostat and laser laboratory, and various exhibits.
Visit Fraunhofer IIS on June 17, 2026, as part of our event series “MQV Insights – On site Quantum Sciences On site .”
The Lecture at 5:30 p.m. The subsequent tour of the antenna measurement hall, the cryostat and laser laboratories, and the exhibits will end around 7:30 p.m. Both the lecture hall and the exhibits are wheelchair accessible; the path to the entrance of the antenna measurement hall is also wheelchair accessible.
Registration is required for the event. You can find the registration form here.
