Lecture part of the Exhibition – POWER – DESIRE"
Learn more about the connection between hair and health at a Lecture the Kunsthalle MUC.
With the Exhibition – POWER – DESIRE," the Kunsthalle Münchenpresentsa thematically designed, cross-cultural Exhibition that focuses on the diverse meanings of head and body hair. In collaboration with the TUM Center for Culture and Arts, an accompanying lecture series will take place.
Hair is much more than just a surface feature—it is a sensitive indicator of health. In a highly active mini-organ, each individual hair grows in alternating phases of growth and rest. It is connected to the brain via nerve fibers, and stress has a direct impact on its growth. At the same time, it stores stress hormones, thus preserving traces of past stress. The Lecture how closely hair, the nervous system, and health are connected.
Prof. Eva Peters heads the Psychoneuroimmunology Laboratory at the Clinic for Psychosomatics at Justus Liebig University in Giessen and also works at the Charité University Hospital in Berlin. She is a dual specialist in dermatology and psychosomatics, a certified psycho-oncologist, and a neurodermatitis and urticaria trainer. She also works as a depth psychologist and systemic psychotherapist.

AFTERWORK
Every third Wednesday of the month, AFTERWORK takes place at the Kunsthalle München. Visit the Exhibition 10:00 p.m. and round off the evening with music from DJ Alkalino. There is a big raffle every time.
