Poetry Corner: Four Voices for Dagmar Nick

Four Voices for Dagmar Nick: A Tribute on the Poet’s 100th Birthday
We celebrate three-quarters of a century of poetic work: Born in Breslau in 1926, Dagmar Nick ’s work has been shaped from its very beginnings by flight and displacement, and ever since by a constant spirit of renewal. In crystal-clear verses, she expresses the fragility of the moment: the constant shifting of security into danger and back again. A deep zest for life and a hunger for knowledge remain palpable as the driving forces behind her writing.
At the Lyrik Kabinett, four younger female authors will read Nick’s texts and offer their own poetic responses to his work.
On the podium:
- Franziska Gänsler, a trained fashion designer, published her highly acclaimed debut novel, *Ewig Sommer*, in 2022.
- Lena Gorelik, , was born in Leningrad and raised in Stuttgart. She writes novels, academic and journalistic texts, and travel literature, and was awarded the Literaturhäuser Prize in 2026.
- Annegret Liepold published her debut novel, *Unter Grund*, in 2025, for which she has already received numerous awards.
- Nora Zapf is a poet, literary scholar, translator from Portuguese and Spanish, and a member of the board of trustees of the Lyrik Kabinett Foundation, for which she organized this evening’s event.
