Modern Jazz Workshop

Modern jazz is a versatile dance style that combines the powerful, rhythmic movements of jazz dance with the fluid elements of contemporary dance. In addition to dynamic movements, turns, and jumps, floor work, conscious weight shifting, and the coordination of breathing and movement also play a central role. A combination of technical training, creative movement exercises, and choreography offers an exciting insight into this dynamic dance style. A love of movement and a certain level of fitness are beneficial—no prior experience is required.

TUM Dances!

TUM tanzt!is an initiative of the TUM Center for Culture and Arts and the TUM School of Medicine and Health (Applied Sport Science) that brings dance in all its diversity to life. Through workshops, performances, and project formats, the platform creates a space for dance art at the intersection of science, social participation, and holistic health promotion. The events invite participants not only to experience dance as spectators but also to get moving themselves. Together, we foster encounters, creativity, and reflection.
