Plants and carbon: A double-feature in the “Earth futures lunchtime colloquium“ with Prof. Lina Mercado, Ph.D., and Prof. Stephen Sitch, Ph.D.

Lina Mercado is Professor of Geography at the University of Exeter. As plant ecophysiologist and vegetation-biogeochemical modeler, she uses observational data and computer models to investigate how plants influence the climate and vice versa.

Stephen Sitch is Professor in Physical Geography at the University of Exeter and currently a Visiting Fellow at CAS. In his talk, he shares insights from the Global Carbon Budget assessment and the use of earth observation to refine regional carbon budgets.
