DNA Isolation on “DNA Day”
Under the guidance of young researchers, visitors to the DNA visitor lab can conduct their own experiments and learn how to use pipettes and other molecular biology equipment.

In this hands-on activity at the DNA Visitor Lab, participants learn about DNA analysis techniques. During the course, oral mucosal cells are crushed, the DNA is extracted, precipitated with alcohol, and transferred to a container. This not only allows participants to experience the day-to-day work of researchers in the lab, but also provides interesting insights into cell biology, genetics, and genetic engineering.
The Workshop offered several times that day:
- 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.
- 3:00 – 4:00 p.m.
