Highlights of Nature Photography 2026

The Exhibition the Bamberg Natural History Museum showcases the winning photos from the “Highlights of Nature Photography” photo contest. For the 28th time, outstanding photographs have been honored in the international “Highlights of Nature Photography” competition. The prestigious competition, which has been recognizing fascinating, moving, and spectacular nature photographs from around the world since 1999, has once again set new records, thereby reaffirming its status as one of the most important platforms for nature photography worldwide. This year, 24,674 entries were received from 1,074 photographers in 44 countries—once again a significant increase over the previous year.
