About Dino Detectives and Crazy Names

Children's University Seminar with Dr. Eva Gebauer, Bionicum at Nuremberg Zoo
How do you find fossils—and who discovers them first? What do paleontologists actually do all day? They don’t just search for fossils; they examine, compare, and puzzle over the traces of creatures from long ago. And how do such crazy names like Dracorex hogwartsia or Excalibosaurus come about? We look over researchers’ shoulders, get to know their exciting daily work, and learn about things they sometimes didn’t even expect themselves!
