Reading and discussion with Désirée Opela about her novel *Das Wetter in uns* (2022)

The young protagonist of the novel *Das Wetter in uns* (2022) lives in Munich and is shaped by the story of her father, who went into exile in Germany from Czechoslovakia at that time. This novel by Munich-based author Désirée Opela, who herself has Czech roots, tells of homesickness for a place “to which one could not return because it did not exist.”
