“Expertise, Vision, and Practical Implementation.” A conversation with Veronika Siska, translator, cultural mediator, and founder of Allee Verlag

Veronika Siska was born in Prague and moved from Czechoslovakia to Munich with her parents as a child, where she grew up bilingual. After completing her studies in Paris, Munich, and Prague, she worked for many years as a translator, editor, encyclopedia editor, and cultural mediator. In 2024, she founded Allee Verlag in Munich with the goal of “bringing to light literary voices from across Europe whose languages and perspectives are underrepresented in the German-speaking world.”

In a conversation with Svetlana Efimova (LMU Munich, BAdW Young Scholars Program), she will share her diverse experiences in the literary world and across cultures.
